BREAKING NEWS
The Fortescue is delighted to announce that they have been voted Plymouth CAMRA Pub of the Year for 2008 - 2009!

We are currently holding an eight week beer festival with eight ales on all day every day for the months of May and June. With the wide varieties of ales currently available, many non-ale drinkers have been tempted in to trying a pint or two.

PLYMOUTH CRICKET CLUB'S PLIGHT

Plymouth Cricket Club's ground - which is also the home of the Fortescue Cricket Club - is on council owned land in Central Park. The council leased the land to Plymouth Sports Centre, a firm run by Argyle chairman Paul Stapleton, in 2004. Now the cricket club has been told to quit. Plymouth Cricket Club, however, feel they have a very strong case for ownership of the land as they have used the ground for over 80 years. The club needs to raise £20,000 to defend this right in court in late summer 2008.
