FORTESCUE CRICKET CLUB

SMELL THAT CUT GRASS…
Out come the spikes, the banner, bongos and our followers (all two of them). It’s time to dig out the kit from last season, maybe wash it, and spend Sunday hangovers running around outdoors. Fresh from our indoor award of Most Sporting Team (that can’t be right), we kick off the season against the old enemy Milton Abbot (13th April – Peverell Park). We’re prepared for snow, hail, sunburn – just about anything except decent opposition, so let’s hope Abbot haven’t any new players (just kidding, lads).

Competition for places is fierce, but a rotation policy is usually forced upon us (injuries are inevitable when grown men get drunk and try to bowl as if they were teenagers), so come along.

PCC are great hosts to us, with a big pavilion, bar and all the entertainment you want. Even if you don’t make the first few games, come and cheer us on, help put the banner up, join the band…or just sledge us from the boundary.

Sunday fixtures are below, but we also have plenty of midweek games.
